Accessibility Statement
ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT
PPAC Solutions LTD is committed to making the PPAC Identity Verification Service accessible to as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technologies such as screen readers.
WHAT THIS STATEMENT COVERS
This statement applies to our identity verification service: the web verification flow, the mobile application, and the in-app chat through which you can ask for help or a reasonable adjustment.
OUR APPROACH
We design, build and review our service around the POUR accessibility principles - content and controls should be Perceivable, Operable, Understandable and Robust. We use Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) techniques as good practice to inform this work, for example text alternatives, keyboard operation, sufficient colour contrast, clear labels and status messages.
We do not currently claim formal conformance with WCAG, and our service has not been independently assessed against it. If an independent assessment is completed, we will update this statement to reflect the outcome.
REASONABLE ADJUSTMENTS
Under the Equality Act 2010 we make reasonable adjustments so that you are not disadvantaged in using the service. You can enable voiceover within the application, and we make other adjustments on request where they are reasonable and within our control. Using assistance or an adjustment will never give you a worse outcome than completing the check unaided.
To request assistance or an adjustment, contact our support team through the in-app chat. We only ask for the information we need to make the adjustment well, and we do not share disability information with the organisation you are verifying for unless you explicitly consent.
IF YOU CANNOT COMPLETE A CHECK
If a check cannot be completed, it is closed and you are referred to your employer's manual document-checking route, so that you always have a way to prove your right to work. If you believe a result is wrong, you can ask for it to be reviewed.
GIVING FEEDBACK OR REPORTING A PROBLEM
If you come across an accessibility barrier, or want to give us feedback, email support@ppac.co.uk. We will acknowledge your message within three working days and give you a substantive response within ten working days.
